In a move to improve online security and safe banking for customers, Coffee County Bank announced Monday, Aug. 12, a switch to a .bank domain for its website, effective the week of Aug. 12. Coffee County Bank joins thousands of banks in its switch to a .bank domain, a new domain type designed by banks, exclusively for bank use. According to the American Bankers Association, "Acquiring a .BANK domain ensures a trusted, verified and more secure location for your bank’s online banking services. All .BANK domains are required to meet robust security technologies and practices, and only verified members of the banking industry can register a .BANK domain."

Raider soccer scores are now easier to spot from the stands at Coffee County Central High School, after a $6,735 donation from Coffee County Bank helped school officials purchase and install a brand-new scoreboard this summer.
 
Carter Sain, CEO at Coffee County Bank, said supporting students is in the bank’s mission and vision for Coffee County. “Supporting local schools and students sets local banks apart,” Sain said. “The definition of a community bank is the one who gives back. Our leadership believes in making Coffee County a better place to play high school sports, because we are living, working and raising our own families right here, and we have personal stakes in this community.”

Brent Parsley, a Manchester native with four decades in local bank lending and leadership, is set to join the business development team at Coffee County Bank in late July. Parsley said the bank’s local identity and commitment to remaining locally-owned and –operated helped him make the decision to change.
 
“I have enjoyed serving the community as a banker for 40 years and look forward to helping our community achieve their financial goals and dreams for many more to come,” Parsley said. “I’m excited about joining forces with a local bank which shares those aspirations, and which believes in creating solutions which make customers’ lives easier.”
